Performance in the new GMC Sierra 2500 HD Truck

The new 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD truck is equipped with a standard 6.6-liter gas-powered V8 that can give you 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. The new GMC Sierra 2500 now comes with a proven 10-speed Allison automatic transmission and the acceleration time to 60 mph is about 7.0 seconds, something that will make our Midland and Big Spring, TX customers will appreciate.

If you want even more capability, you can invest in the GMC Sierra 2500's 6.6-liter turbocharged Duramax® diesel V8 engine with 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. The conventional maximum towing capacity for the GMC Sierra 2500 HD is 14,500 pounds and the dually diesel equipped with the Max Trailering package allow you to tow as much as 20,000 pounds. The payload maximum ranges up to 3,850 pounds depending on the configuration.

Performance in the new GMC Sierra 3500 HD Truck

The latest edition of the GMC Sierra 3500 HD truck comes with a standard 6.6-liter V8 gas-powered engine that can deliver 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. The higher level option is a 6.6-liter Duramax® turbodiesel V8 that can generate 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque. The new turbodiesel can rumble out to 60 mph in about 6.9 seconds. When it's equipped with that diesel engine the maximum conventional towing capacity for the new GMC Sierra 3500 is 20,000 pounds. GMC Sierra 3500 HD trucks with a fifth-wheel can provide a towing capacity for Greenwood, TX drivers of up to 31,800 pounds.

Technology in GMC Sierra Heavy Duty trucks

Depending on the model you choose, the GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD trucks offer an available 13.4-inch infotainment touch screen, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster display and 15.0-inch head-up display. Select models include wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ capability. In the GMC Sierra 3500 and certain GMC 2500 models both rows of seats can be equipped with USB ports and you can get a wireless charging pad. In addition, high-end GMC 2500 HD and 3500 HD now offer an available Bose premium audio system with 12 speakers.

Trim levels in GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD trucks

New GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD trucks offer buyers a total of six trims to choose from:

• Pro: Equipped with 17-inch steel wheels, a 3.5-inch driver information display, 12 cargo tie downs, a locking tailgate, a trailer hitch and an auto-locking rear differential.
• SLE: Comes with a 13.4-inch touch screen, satellite radio, a 12.3-inch digital driver information display, heated power outboard mirrors, GMC's versatile MultiPro tailgate, EZ Lift and an integrated trailer brake controller.
• SLT: This trim adds heated 10-way power-adjustable front seats, power-folding outboard mirrors, 18-inch aluminum wheels, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel and the ProGrade Trailering System.
• AT4: This is the off road trim that includes off-road suspension, an AutoTrac two-speed transfer case, hill-descent control, skid plates, all-terrain tires and twin-tube Rancho shocks.
• Denali: This trim builds on the AT4 features with cab-length assist steps, a universal home remote and upgraded perforated leather seats.
• Denali Ultimate: The highest trim level comes with the Duramax® turbodiesel engine, four-wheel drive, power-retractable assist steps and full-grain leather upholstery.
